Warrior Fridges is an Australian family owned and operated business specialising in exceptional refrigeration solutions for off-grid living, energy conscious households and commercial accommodation.
Warrior was born from an award winning Gasfitting business in Northern NSW that is still thriving today. Boasting the experience and knowledge of one of Australia’s top ranked absorption fridge mechanics and operating as warranty agents for other brands, we have intimate experience with the inner workings of the industry.
Using our unique insight and industry leading and trade-qualified expertise, we have developed a range of refrigerators specifically designed to perform in Australian conditions.

SINCE OUR BEGINNINGS IN 2009
Our History.
2009
Ian & Hayley Brown purchased Horn’s Gas Service and started being the major repairer for every brand of gas fridge in Australia.
2013
We noticed a gap in the household gas fridge market and purchased our first sample gas fridges.
2014
We received our gas and electrical compliance for our products to sell to the Australian public.
2015
We launched Brown Bear gas refrigeration.
2016
We purchased a container of fridges and were shocked at the drop in the quality. Our gasfitters spent hours on each fridge to get them operating to the standards we required. We discounted the sale of them and managed to sell what we could to recoup our investment. All fridges are well out of warranty and we still provide some spare parts to existing owners. It was only on receiving our stock that we found out the factory had sold to an inexperienced owner.
By visiting the factory and talking to people we got to know the good, bad and ugly manufacturers in the industry and started head hunting the best.
2017
We won the Lismore Chamber of Commerce award for “trade and construction” and “Entrepreneur of the Year”.
We hunted down a factory with a great reputation to have our gas fridges made.
2018
We started producing Warrior refrigeration.
We launched the new range of products that we could proudly stand behind, under the brand Warrior Fridges. Warrior was chosen because we did not give up on our dream of supplying a superior gas product and even through all the ups and downs that we’ve encountered on this journey, all the time and money, the frustration and the success, our business and family have fought to forge this brand that we know will stand up to all Australia can throw at it.
2019
We received our gas & electrical certification to sell in Australia.
We received our first container and were absolutely 100% happy with our products. Every single gas fridge is tested in our workshop here before going out for sale.
Secured our first Hotel commercial order to supply MiniBars in New Zealand.
2020
Despite Covid we finally started to see momentum and partnered with several more leading hotels to be brand of choice for their in-room mini bars across Australia.
2021
Warrior won the Rotary Pride of Workmanship Award - Rotary Club of Lismore West.

A local award winning business at the heart of the Rainbow Region in the Northern Rivers NSW
Warrior Fridges began in the NSW Far North Coast town of Lismore by the family run business Horn’s Gas Service. Horn’s Gas Service were already official warranty agents for a few brands of gas fridges when they noticed that none of the brands they dealt with were owned or operated by a trade qualified gas fitter.
So in 2015, we began importing our own brand of gas fridges and demand was off the charts – we couldn’t keep up with orders! Although the response was great, the fridges had some quality control issues and because we were dedicated to constantly improving the range, so the decision was made to pull the product range completely until a level of quality could be guaranteed.
In 2016, we launched the new range of products that we could proudly stand behind, under the brand Warrior Fridges. Warrior was chosen because we did not give up on our dream of supplying a superior gas product and even through all the ups and downs that we’ve encountered on this journey, all the time and money, the frustration and the success, our business and family have fought to forge this brand that we know will stand up to all Australia can throw at it.
We have expanded our product range to include an amazing solar fridge range, as well as an incredible range of hotel style absorption minibar fridges. We are constantly expanding our range, but never at the expense of the quality of our existing products.
With the right mix of technical expertise and entrepreneurial spirit, our dedication to customer service and satisfaction are now and will always be our priority.
Our head technician and company co-founder Ian has been ranked as one of the top 10 gas fridge repairers in Australia. He ensures that attention to detail and best practice is followed in every technical aspect of the business, from design to maintenance and repair.
Our co-founder Hayley is in Sales, Marketing and customer service. She has a Bachelor of Business and majored in International business and marketing. Her dedication is in looking after the customer and streamlining the communication especially after the sale. Hayley has also worked for years as a warranty agent for many popular Australian brands therefore understands what is required to make Warrior a great experience.
